Neighbour Aid

What is it?

Kiama Neighbour Aid provides support and assistance either within the home or while a person is accessing the community. The service provided is flexible and aims to meet the individual needs of each person. Neighbour Aid services can include companionship, shopping, bill paying, transport to appointments, one-off lawn and garden assistance, minor home maintenance, card and letter writing . A social bus trip is also held two day per month.

Who is it for?

Kiama Neighbour Aid provides support to frail, older people and younger people with a disability and their carers who live in the Kiama Local Government Area.

Process of referral

Referral can be made by individuals, carers, family members, friends or government and non-government agencies including health professionals. Referrals can be made by phone or fax.
